I'm now proud to offer my 4 x 6 art cards in a biodegradable plastic sleeve that is composter safe!
This great product is being offered by CLEARBAGS.com If you need plastic sleeves for your business, please check them out! This is a new product for them, and we want to keep them available to all of us environmentally conscious business owners and consumers!
I already use Neenah Paper's Environment line of paper (for more info, see HERE!), which is a great white smooth acid-free paper for people concerned about the environment.

In an effort to save gas and emit less pollution, I'm trying to figure out how to do my art shows without using our semi-gas-guzzling-minivan. So, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to set-up for Edmonds without the van (I had to use it to transport the mural to the grade school and didn't have time to load it for the art show after). Instead I set-up using our Toyota PRIUS!
Believe it or not - EVERYTHING (including tent, tables, etc.) but my 1 large red painting (I did bring that with the van the next day) FIT IN OUR PRIUS! Let me say that again - it FIT IN OUR P R I U S!
Next, I'm working on a way to bring my larger paintings with the Prius too! At an average of 50 mpg - Happy, non-gas-guzzling day!

This weekend has the very fun-loving Fremont Fair in Seattle, celebrating the start of summer - yea! I had a great time watching all the people, chatting with the customers and vendors, being entertained by a great musical group performing in a 4 piece band with singer, and oh yeah, selling my art! The Fremont Fair is such a relaxed, enjoyable event. But... back to my point - the BUS!
I stopped in Everett on Friday on my way to set up in Fremont to pick-up some postcards at the Snohomish Arts Council for the Everett Fresh Paint Event (another GREAT event, by the way...) to hand out in Fremont (since they used my art for their poster this year - yea again!) As I was driving through town (Everett, that is), I had a very surreal moment when I first saw my art on the side of a city bus for the Everett 4th of July festival. I then proceeded to see bus after bus after bus, all with either my 4th of July image or with my Sorticulture image! It was everywhere! Lucky for me, I had my camera on hand and I was able to grab one shot before getting odd looks from the bus driver.

First, I want to thank the wonderful crowd at the Edmonds Art show for their support! What a fun event - I'll look forward to going back next year! While at the show, I also was amazed by the number of people who recognized me as the "Sorticulture Artist" for this year's event in Everett, WA this weekend. While I wish I could be at the event, I will bill at the Fremont Fair instead. Maybe next year!
In the meantime, I have made the image from the Sorticulture event available at my ETSY store! I have 11 x 14 fine art Giclee prints available for $50.00 as well as $16.00 8 x 10 laser prints. Thank you to everyone who has asked about purchasing this image and I hope you enjoy!

One of my many post-show duties is re-organizing my prints and cards to see what I have left and decide what I need to have replenished. I am happy to say I've found a new helper for this task - and she's GREAT at it! My daughter (5) sorted out all my cards so that I knew what I had left. She would tell me, "this one wasn't famous" (meaning I still had a lot of them left). It was very cute. Fortunately I didn't have too many un-famous cards after my last show in Spokane. Time to get ready for EDMONDS! I hope to see you there!
