My latest addition to my color pallete is fabulous! With my love of sunflowers, I can't believe I haven't added this color sooner. If it were a crayola crayon it would definitely be called "sunflower". I've used it in several of my latest paintings. Check them out!

I can NOT believe the difference! After taking my 3 cups of morning coffee (STRONG coffee) out of the routine and adding in a daily blueberry-banana smoothie, I can't believe how much energy I have. I didn't realize how much the caffeine was draining me. I'm still having the occassional 1 cup of weak decaf, but usually just on those cold Northwest mornings. I can even paint more now too! Give it a try and see what you think! Sorry Starbucks! I still love you.

Yes, we went to that garish place called Vegas - and had a great time. We stayed in downtown which was nice to be away from the enormity of the strip. It was our anniversary getaway as well as my husband's 40th celebration. I think the best part, however, was seeing the Picasso exhibit. I had no idea the depth of his artistic endeavors nor how late in life he continued to agressively pursue art. It was amazing. My favorite part, though, was the film footage showing the progression of Picasso's art. He worked, and re-worked, and re-worked an image. It was inspiring and consoling (being that I work in a similar method, but not nearly so skilled). If you're going to Vegas, I would definitely stop there! Look for those wild carpet patterns to possibly show up in a painting or two as well.
